Higher Education (HE) involvement in the 2012 Games can be broken down into four distinct areas:
1) Delivery of the Games 2) Elite performance 3) Aspiration raising 4) Legacy.
SE universities may be involved in supporting elite athlete performance, providing skilled volunteers, contributing to the cultural programme, providing facilities, carrying out relevant research, fostering links with communities and raising aspirations.

Over 80 Pre Games Training Camps at FE and HE Institutions
LOCOG announced the 639 Facilities that have been approved to enter the London 2012 Pre-Games Training Camp Guide.
Over 80 of the facilities included in the Guide are those of Further or Higher Educational Institutions across the UK. Full details of the successful FE and HE bids in the South East can be found by following the link below and downloading the PDF document.
