HEIF 2 Funding over a two year period from 2004/2005 & 2005/2006.
The second round of funding was then established to continue and develop the HEIF1 activities. HEIF 2 awards were made available in the Summer of 2004 and provides funding for the academic years 2004-2005 and 2005-2006.

Centres for Knowledge Exchange
The 22 CKE centres that were initiated under HEIF 2 form a network that engage in sharing best practice activities and are being funded to provide specialist shared services to businesses. Please click on the network weblink: http://www.nationalcke.co.uk/
Other funding under HEIF 1 SEC (Science Enterprise Challege) SEC (Science Enterprise Challenge) and UC (University Challenge) were set up as separate funds under HEIF 1. Universities funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) were invited to apply for funding under HEIF in May 2001. Please see below a breakdown of the allocated funding for the universities across the South East region.
